Rivers have shaped the planet’s landscapes, carried human journeys and flowed through our cultures, histories and dreams.

Filmed across six continents and combining extraordinary contemporary cinematography with satellite imagery, Riverreveals waterways from perspectives rarely seen before. Through the union of image, music and poetic narration, the film honours the wildness and majesty of rivers while recognising their increasing vulnerability.

Festivals and Awards

River premiered at the Telluride Film Festival in 2021 and won the 2022 AACTA Award for Best Documentary and Best Original Score in a Documentary.
